Friends
(Virtual and otherwise!)
This is a compilation of links to friends who have been choosen
for "Pick of the Month" in the past. (Sung to the tune of Auld Lang Syne of
course!)

My real time buddy Terry is a fellow rock star and traveler. You will find
lots of geology and travel stories between his pages. Sound familiar?

This is a great site hosted by a bunch of wacky
yuppies who regularly explore California's high desert, loftier peaks, and remote areas
where no BMW has gone before. Lots of good information on the desert and everything that
is happening therein. These good gents are also responsible for the McElvoy Canyon treat
in the Photo
Gallery.

My friend Jaycee lives in Anchorage, Alaska. She has been responsible for a LOT of the
humor you have enjoyed on my humor page. In addition to keeping many of us smiling with
her humor, if you are a Billy Joel fan she has the
definitive site for bio-info and midi
files.
Jaycee's World
The vikings traveled the globe,
laughing and kicking butt and having a good time the whole way. How so many came to settle
in Petersburg, Alaska causes the mind to reel. This is the home of our real friends, Val
and Glen, who run a Java Cafe where you can sit and surf the web while you enjoy your
expresso, and get clipped in the back room where Glen runs his barber shop. A great couple
with a growing family. Check out this great site and enjoy java of all flavors.

My real-time friend Paul has always
had a fascination with heavenly bodies. Unfortunately, he has had to fall back upon his
interest in Astronomy to fulfill most of his desires for an eyeful.

Jeri
Childs... whose photography skill covers many areas, from rodeos to CD covers, is
also a top notch nature photographer. She loves to "get out of Dodge", and take
on a photographic adventure in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Utah, & Wyoming. We
met Jeri during our journeys through the Inside passage of Alaska, and have enjoyed
watching her presence on the web develop. Pay a visit!

I am proud to know and sponsor this
fine gentleman's page. He has just returned from serving in Bosnia, and the totally
unofficial and humorous accounting of his unit's escape from Bosnia makes for great
reading.
You will also find here a marvelous mix of photography, astronomy and
travel to exotic lands. Hats off!
Dave Rosenthal's Personal Pages

Jeffrey Sipress has an eclectic page including his work on a world class
scale model of a narrow gauge railway in the Owens Valley of California as well as a great
collection of personal photographs of the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains.

Jeanne and Tom like to fly balloons. BIG balloons! Sometimes they might
even jump out of one. Visit these crazy
pals and see the world as they see it.

Friend and artist
John Svenson's work is renowned throughout southeast Alaska. John's whimsical artistic
style may be a reflection of his joyful approach to life and his environment. John greets
visitors to his gallery in Haines, Alaska with a pleasant smile and warm hospitality.
Until you can enjoy a visit in person, take a virtual trip to Extreme Dreams and enjoy the
work of John and Shannon, as well as the many artists who display work at the gallery.

Saw Jim has
been a real friend for over twenty years. Jim gets his moniker from his undying love and
devotion to the musical saw, an instrument which is only slightly more annoying than
bagpipes or a didgeridoo or shaving a cat, but which might someday serve a useful purpose
such as sawing wood. Come immerse yourself in "Babyface."
